I was out in my backyard yesterday working on my deck when my roommate and I noticed a skywriter practicing above our house. At first he just wrote the name 'Rob' but then about ten minutes later we watched him create a huge perfect circle right above our house. After he made the circle he flew through it and made the two eyes in one pass. Once he did that we all started guessing what it was and my roommates father said it was going to be a smiley face. Sure enough, one last pass by the skywriter revealed a smiling mouth to complete the happy face. It's awesome that the pilot could create whatever he wanted for tens of thousands of people to see and something as simple as a smiley face probably had a huge impact on North County San Diego that day.
